Besides the the lack of eagles I believe we had a good trip. I was very glad to finally put some photographs with faces.

The Photo Contest for this month is about to end so get out and take a picture. The Theme is Old, Rusty & Corroded and the deadline for entries is the 28th.

The August meeting is set, so get your gear polished and ready. This meeting is going to be a workshop. It will be on flash photography. Jim has a wonderful place set up for us to take portraits and work with on-shoe and off-shoe flashes. If you are not familiar with these, don’t worry…you will learn all you want to know about it at the workshop. The meeting will be Saturday, August 23rd from 3:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Remodeler’s Outlet. The address is 803 S Noble St, Anniston, AL 36201 or GPS coordinates N33 38.218 W85 49.708. I would like to welcome our newest members: Mike Callahan, PeaPix, hoganfann, PamiKnows, flossy0506, judo dad1953, disneygal and lauralbg.

Our first meeting was Thursday, June 19th. We met at the Anniston Museum of Natural History. We appreciate everyone that came to the meeting and if you did not make it we hope to see you at the next one. We have come up with some more ideas for Alabama Shutterbugs and hope to get them started in the near future. If you have any ideas for the club or places you would like to meet, let us know.
